The winners of the Monochrome Challenge competition for the Colin Williams Trophy were as follows:
1st – Rob Beynon – Trouble & Strife (see below) 2nd – Jill Jones – Sea Fever 3rd – Gwynfryn Jones – 1940s Romance
The competition was judged by Gary Shinner LRPS EFIAP/b MPSA AWPF BPSA (Llanelli)

Gwynfa members achieved significant success in the 2020 Welsh Salon of Photography with 29 acceptances and five major awards as can be seen below.

Big congratulations to everyone who got a photo accepted, it is really tough to get an acceptance in the Welsh.
Also huge thanks to Cliff Emery and his team who had quite a challenge on their hands this year, especially with judging the prints. After being delayed since early lockdown, they finally managed to get it done. Well done to everyone involved in the organisation and selection.
Some very sad news, we’ve been informed that our former member, Trevor Clayton, passed away on Wednesday 23rd September.
Trevor had been diagnosed with acute leukaemia about a year ago and was very much himself right up until the end. He died very peacefully, and at home.
Out thoughts are with his daughter Helena and her family.
Trevor can be seen on the left in the photograph below.
